Scouting is for All Boys
There's a Scouting program for all boys from first grade through age 21.
- Cub Scouts is for boys in first through fifth grades, or age 7 through 10.
- Boy Scouts is for boys in fifth grade through high school, or ages 11 through 17.
- Venturing is for both boys and girls ages 14 (or 13 and completed eighth grade) through 20.
What are the requirements?
To join Boy Scouts, a boy must either:
- Be 11 years old, or
- Be 10 years old and have completed fifth grade, or
- Be 10 years old and have received the Cub Scout Arrow of Light award
and not yet reached his 18th birthday.
Where do I find a Boy Scout Troop?
There are many troops in our area, and two based in Novi. Most boys from Novi join either our troop, Troop 407, or Troop 54. Troop 407 meets on Tuesday nights, while Troop 54 meets on Monday nights.
Where do I find a Cub Scout Pack?
Contact one of the following Cub Scout Packs serving the city of Novi:
- Pack 50, Deerfield Elementary
- Pack 54, Novi Woods Elementary
- Pack 239, Village Oaks Elementary
- Pack 240, Orchard Hills Elementary
- Pack 249, Hickory Woods Elementary
- Pack 375, Parkview Elementary
- Pack 746, Thornton Creek Elementary
- Pack 1249, Meadowbrook Elementary
