Merit Badge Pre-Requisites

The following merit badges require work to be completed prior to summer camp in order to make it possible to complete the badge at camp. These are requirements that are needed for the badge but will not be covered in sessions at camp. Failure to complete these pre-requisites, and bring to camp evidence of completion, will result in a Partial being issued.

Because very few scouts who receive a Partial at summer camp ever actually complete the badge, it is strongly recommended that scouts complete these pre-requisites. Doing so will result in a greater sense of satisfaction and less wasted effort.

Numbers refer to the requirements for each merit badge. Requirements for merit badges are available on BSA's Merit Badge Requirements page.
